What kind of leather do you use?

We exclusively use Italian vegetable-tanned leather sourced from small tanneries in Tuscany, a region internationally renowned for this traditional craft.

Vegetable tanning is a slower and more traditional process that uses tannins of natural origin and gives the leather its distinctive depth, structure, and ability to age beautifully over time.

We choose this material for its durability, character, and the way it evolves with use, developing a unique patina instead of simply wearing out.

Our suppliers work according to responsible production standards, with careful management of water treatment, waste reduction, and material recovery throughout the tanning process.

The leather we use is free from harmful substances such as azo dyes, PCP, nickel, Chromium VI, and other toxic components.

How can I take care of my MAISON DRESSAGE piece?

Our accessories are made to age beautifully — and you can help them do so.

Vegetable-tanned leather naturally evolves with use, developing a richer tone and patina over time. We recommend avoiding excessive humidity, prolonged direct sunlight, direct heat, and — please — water and soap treatments from the kitchen sink.

If cleaning becomes necessary — life happens — use a clean white cotton cloth and a leather-specific cleaning product. We also recommend treating the leather once a year with a suitable conditioning product to help keep it soft and supple. Vegetable-tanned leather needs a little extra care, just like our own skin.

Metal hardware may naturally oxidize or develop small surface marks with wear. A soft dry cloth is usually all it needs.

Can you customize your designs?

Some of them, yes.

Depending on the model, we can sometimes adjust sizing, proportions, or specific details.

We also offer made-to-measure options for selected pieces.

In general, we do not reproduce or manufacture designs created by others. That said, if you have an idea, a project, or something special in mind, feel free to contact us ! If it feels aligned with our work, we may be able to develop something special together.

And yes, we can also include a personalized note if your order is a gift!
